THE SUPPORTIVE HOUSING NETWORK OF NEW YORK

The Supportive Housing Network of New York is a coalition representing 135 private nonprofit agencies in New York State that provide safe, affordable housing for persons with limited incomes including persons who are formerly homeless, have mental or physical disabilities, are living with HIV/AIDS, and/or recovering from substance abuse. The Network provides resources, public education and advocacy on behalf of the provider community and the approximately 14,000 tenants living in supportive housing. The Network promotes policies that allow for a continuum of housing options and supportive and employment services to meet tenant needs. The Network also sponsors the New York City AIDS Housing Network.
